We enjoyed the house. It was very practical and the kids loved the 'playroom' 😀 thank you! Beds were good too and all was nice and clean. Great house!

A wonderful Bach with sunshine all day and right on the lake shore. We were very lucky to have sun every day and then there is a great gas fire to keep it warm at night. Lots of space and en-suite room has lovely view on to the lake. Lots of parking off the street and good washing machine and line.
I would really recommend this Bach having stayed in many in Taupò the location and views are breathtaking and we will be back.
Vicky was really helpful and supportive, and responded very quickly.
I took my 88 year old mum who struggles to walk and it was perfect for her.

We absolutely loved our stay here. We arrived on a cold day to a warm and welcoming house. The owner has thought of everything including firewood, electric blankets, glad wrap, tea, coffee, washing powder, etc etc. The view was incredible and we loved watching the changing colours and views of the lake. It was perfect for the 6 of us. We wished we booked for longer.

The house was exactly as pictured — beautifully equipped and had everything we needed. We were a group of 11 adults and 2 kids, and the phrase we kept hearing throughout our stay was: 'This place is so warm and cosy!' Communication with Vicky was excellent, and we really appreciated her kindness and prompt replies. If we head back to Taupō, we’d love to stay in her place again. Thanks so much!

Great Lake Stays is an impressive size house which is perfect for a multiple families getaway. It is only 5 min drive to town and located with a lovely rural outlook. The pool is impressive (better in summer but refreshing in winter!) and the spa is great to soak in after a day of activities. The host is responsive and helpful. Would definitely recommend

We had a fantastic stay at this beautiful place in Taupō! We were a group of 6 adults, 1 child, and 2 dogs, and it couldn’t have been more perfect for us. The house was incredibly spacious, with a well-equipped kitchen that had everything we needed. The outdoor area was lovely and private,
plenty of space for the dogs to roam freely, and toys were available to keep the little one happily entertained.

It was such a peaceful, quiet spot, perfect for relaxing and spending time together. Vicky, the host, was great with communication and shared all the important info the day before our arrival, which made check-in smooth and stress-free.

Highly recommend this place for families or groups looking for a comfortable and pet-friendly getaway in Taupō!

My family and I stayed in one of Vickys properties in Taupo for two nights. It was warm and spacious. My brother had no problems at all in his wheelchair. Have to say the King sized bed in the main bedroom was so comfortable, best sleep I've had in a while. Would definitely stay here again, but would be happy to stay in another of Vickys places just for different experience. She was easy to communicate with and the property was very clean.

very well equipped very bright loved the colour scheme love the art work spacious and loved that my teens were able to have their own space up stairs. We also were able to facilitate the BBQ area and got to catch up with all our family in Taupo which was also a highlight the house was able to give us 🥰 Absolutely loved It so much I will most definitely be back.

The Sunshine Cottage in Taupo was so well set up, with more than we expected. Roomy, warm, bright, immaculate, comfortable, cosy. Close to town. Definitely one of the best and most suitable accommodation options for the 3 generations who all stayed together there for a family celebration.

Visited Taupo and had a wonderful weekend! Preparing for event days, it was great having access to a full kitchen and a wonderful shower with great pressure. Would love to come back when it's warmer for another adventure!

I had a wonderful stay! The apartment was spotless and just as described. The location couldn't have been better; everything I needed was nearby. I especially loved the view and spending time out on the sunny balcony. Vicky was a fantastic host, super friendly and made everything so simple. Highly recommend. Thanks!

A gorgeous quaint lakefront cottage, with everything you need and nothing you don't. We loved our stay and will be back.

Amazing family place. We were blown away by the many activities provided, from balls, board games, toys, smart TVs (logged in), pool and spa, we found the perfect place for kids in rainy weather!
Location is far enough out that you lose the hustle and hustle of the city but it's only 5 mins away.
Would highly recommend, particularly for groups with kids. Is huge so a lot of space for everyone but some great shared spaces.

We stayed at the spacious property in Motuopa. It was perfect and looked very new. Very clean, Comfy beds, comfy furniture lovely linen, super warm house and the kitchen was fully stocked with all the appliances and accessories we needed. The two bathrooms were great too. We would highly recommend.

5 stars. We really loved the place so central we could walk to the shops :) a couple of us did Parkrun so was easy to get there from accommodation as well. Facilities were clean. Loved the window to the loo, that was a bit of fun . Great stay, we all recommend. Thank you

My Whanau and I stayed in Taupo recently for 7 days. We stayed in the Hilltop Hide Away a very lovely 2 bedroom rental. It's located down a long drive way which was so peaceful and very private. We spent most of the time site seeing but it was so comforting to comeback to a home away from home. The property manager was lovely and left us to enjoy our holiday. But she was also only a txt or phone call away. We had everything we required kitchen with everything, nice adjustable shower which my 6'6 tall son loved, nice sized bedrooms and beds.Bonus was the washing machine. We would highly recommend this holiday accomodation to family and friends .

We had a very lovely stay from start to finish. 3 adults and a 14 month old. Vickey, the host is lovely. Communication is excellent. She could even provide a travel cot, which was greatly appreciated.

The house is lovely, stylish, spatous on two levels, clean and well-maintained. I loved the extra playroom option too & the set up to enjoy sitting in the garden. Nice and quiet location, close to the lake & restaurants/cafes. The kitchen is equipped with everything needed to do simple meals. We enjoyed our stay very much. Thanks for having us. I would return again & highly recommend it. 🙂

Positive: Very nice and quiet property, lovely enclosed garden, very spacious and clean. We enjoyed our stay very much and are talking about making it an annual tradition. Would love to do a BBQ here

Negative: There was a single bin in the kitchen; would've been nice to have more bins so we didn't have to gather up trash and make trips to get rid of it. Nitpicking at this stage but the kitchen facilities are dated but everything functioned great.

Great Lake Stays were fantastic. The house we booked was amazing! Exceeded expectations. House was spotlessly clean, linen was perfect and Vicky was so great to deal with. Super responsive and helpful.

We had a a very comfortable stay at 14 Rainboow Drive. The house was immaculately clean and fresh. The furniture, beds and linen were all excellent and very comfortable. The house is walking distance to the lake and a short drive to the heart of Taupo. Highly recommend this accomodation and the operator Vicky !!

A beautiful spot with stunning views of Lake Taupō. The location was perfect for relaxing, offering breathtaking panoramas of the lake right from the property. The house was clean, comfortable , and well-equipped for a comfortable stay. Vicky (host) was so friendly and responsive throughout the stay, highly recommend for a peaceful getaway!

We stayed in Te Heuheu street and were very happy with our accomodation. The house was away from the main road but very close to town and the lake front (5mins if that!). We had everything you would need in a home away from home including outdoor space. The rooms were clean and tidy, linen was crisp and fresh and the kitchen was well stocked with plates, cups, pots etc and loads of offstreet parking. Vicky was extremely lovely and so easy to deal with. Highly recommend this place for a family who wants space!

We were blown away with our stay in Taupo. The Tranquil Retreat accommodation had wow factor. The art work, the colour, the relaxing chairs, the view, the homely feeling, had my wife saying "I want to live here". It had everything and more. I'm so glad we chose this place for our 10 day holiday.

Of character, spacious and had everything we needed. Only a couple minutes drive away from Kinloch Beach, could honestly just walk there! Had a beautiful 6am swim there (summertime) and it all to ourselves. Handy to Taupō and all it has to offer as well. Kinloch is nice quiet retreat from all summer commotion though. Thanks for letting us stay!

Lovely large space. Enough areas so we could enjoy time together as a group or have quiet alone time. Great location, close to lake and shops. Host was quick to reply when I had a question during our stay. To make the stay more comfortable, bedside table lamps and small bins in room or toilets would be an added bonus. Thank you for hosting us.

Lovely old house with wood throughout. Amazing sunset views! Very comfortable sleeping arrangements. Access to storage shed - perfect for our bikes. Great location for town & the lake. I hadn't checked or received access code so had a little trouble on arrival but easy to access hosts number online & she was readily available & resolved quickly.

46 Mahuta in Taupo is a fantastic place to stay. The hosts are super helpful and gracious. Views were second to none.

Our family (7 adults, 1 toddler and 1 baby) had a great stay at “Henry’s Bach” for our family Christmas. Centrally located and well equipped for all needs. There’s a nice playground just around the corner (short walk) and it would be easy enough to walk to the lake too. The house had plenty of space and the section was private. The driveway is steep-ish and has room for parking 2-3 cars, or there’s easy parking on the roadside which was fine too.

Perfect house for our family holiday . Lovely and clean, close to the lake and town. Grass area for kids to play. Everything we needed re: kitchen and laundry facilities . Would definitely stay again 😃

We had such a fantastic stay at Marvel In Motuoapa! The property is so well equipped, clean and cosy with comfortable beds, great facilities close to parks, a tennis court and lovely walks nearby. Highly recommend for your next family vacation 5*****

The house was fresh and clean with new appliances and a fully equipped kitchen. Endless hot water for showers was a treat. The heatpump and plug in heater for the bedrooms, kept us very warm (considering it is July!) The location was excellent, 2 minutes drive from Spa Road where we were able to exercise our dogs every morning. (dogs are by arrangement I believe) The fully fenced section a real bonus. Location A+ ... minutes drive to town, bungee, restaurants. We will definitely book here again - we did not want for a thing. Heidi + Scotty

We were blown away by this incredible stay. Very spacious, clean and welcoming..Photos dont do any justice to this location. Easily fits 8 people. They have everything you possibly need and the host is very responsive.
Moreover, the view from the property is unbeatable. We are definitely rebooking this place for summer.
